The speed exercises are looked at as being difficult by a most rider who is taking a Module 1 motorcycle test. It does not have to be challenging when taking the mod 1 test but the key is in your preparation. There are four parts to the speed exercises, they are:
Each of the four sections has a methodical approach and route that you can learn and implement when doing the Module 1 motorcycle test. Once you have the feel of the bike and not intimidated by its size and weight, you need to learn and apply a system to each manoeuvre. Riding the circuit has a speed requirement but is not checked, the Controlled stop does not have a speed requirement but you must stop with your front wheel in a certain place to prevent a rider fault. The Emergency stop and the Avoidance exercise both ahem a speed requirement that is measured by a device. The route through the cones is important to understand and by using the Motorcycle Rider Hub video lessons you will learn how to successfully negotiate each exercise rather than by trial and error. The key to success is your ability to visualise how and where to do the right thing at the right time. The videos break down exactly how to negotiate each exercise with step by step guidance to take away the stress and anxiety of the Module 1 motorcycle test.
