With an adequate amount of training and enough practice prior to your Module One motorcycle test, you will be fully prepared and know what to expect from the examiner’s briefing. The time allocated for a Module One test is 30 minutes. It only takes about 15 minutes to complete the Module 1 test in the Motorcycle Manoeuvring Area. Because of this there is no need to rush as there is no time pressure. The examiner’s briefing will be brief and to the point, this is so that you do not get confused. You will only be given instruction for one exercise at a time and not be required to remember the whole test with one explanation.
If a manoeuvre is attempted, but clearly misunderstood, the examiner may invite you to have a second attempt. Where mandatory speed requirements are not met during the Emergency stop and Avoidance exercises, a second attempt will generally be given. If you are unsure of anything during the Module 1 test, ask the examiner to repeat the instruction. If you are in the middle of an exercise, wait until you have finished and then ask. Do not stop half way through to ask a question.
