After pulling over or stopping, You will be asked to move away when ready. The key part of this instruction is when ready and highlights the importance of not rushing. You should select first gear, carry out effective all round observations, prepare to pull away and indicate if necessary. An effective lifesaver must be carried out before moving away.
If possible you should remain close to the kerb, this is because if the bike stalls you would not have moved into the road. Stalling by the kerb may incur a minor fault, whereas stalling in the road if you pulled away at an angle may be classed as a serious fault. Having pulled away successfully, cancel the signal (if applied to pull away) and get up to speed so that any following traffic is not held up.
