An effective lifesaver must be carried out before moving away.
Stalling by the kerb may incur a minor fault, whereas stalling in the road if you pulled away at an angle may be classed as a serious fault.
Having pulled away successfully, cancel the signal (if applied to pull away) and get up to speed so that any following traffic is not held up.
