During your Module Two motorcycle test, the examiner will direct you around a predetermined route. You will encounter a number of junctions, including turning left at T-Junctions.
The OSMPSL routine should be used to approach the junction but if circumstances dictate, the sequence can be adjusted to suit the situation.
You should indicate early and position towards the left. Once in position, slow down in plenty of time and select the correct gear. Look early into the junction and be ready to stop or ride on, depending on traffic flow.
You normally need to position slightly left, in the left wheel track but take notice of hazards such as poor road surface, parked vehicles and any other issues. Be aware of your surroundings and look out for any traffic trying to overtake you.
Use mirror checks as required to check behind and if you feel it is necessary a rear observation to assess the blind spot if you feel there is danger of anything trying to pass.
