THE EXAMINER WILL ASK PILLION SAFETY QUESTIONS

As well as the motorcycle safety questions, there is also a requirement for the examiner to ask you about carrying a pillion passengers.

Even though you have not carried a passenger you must know how it will affect the handling of the motorcycle.

The examiner will ask one or two pillion passengers questions regarding the safety of carrying a pillion passengers.

The questions will be asked prior to the road ride taking place.

SOME EXAMPLE QUESTIONS

How would the motorcycle balance be affected when carrying a pillion passenger?
How should a pillion passenger be carried?
What problems could arise when carrying a passenger?
What advice should be given to an inexperienced pillion passenger?

Failing to demonstrate an understanding of the balance and safety impact of carrying a pillion passenger may result in rider faults being added to the marking sheet.

This will not be discussed until the end of the test.
