In order to pass your Module Two motorcycle test, it will require you to have a good understanding of the Highway Code. You must also know what each of the road sign and road markings are that you may encounter during your training and test. Motorcycle road safety is achieved by everyone adhering to the rules of the Highway Code. These road signs give you prior warning and information about future hazards and what is happening directly in front of you. Having an effective plan in place will help you to navigate the road ahead safely.
The examiner will check your response to road signs, road markings and speed limits by assessing your forward vision and riding skills. You will also be tested on how you deal with traffic lights, pedestrian crossings, road traffic controllers and various other practical aspects of the Highway Code. If your response to road signs and road markings is poor, unsafe or inappropriate you will pick up minor or major faults during the test. You are advised to study the Highway Code to make sure you are familiar with it and will not be caught out by anything you are unsure of.
