MODULE ONE MOTORCYCLE CLOTHING

Although it is not a mandatory requirement to wear full motorcycle clothing for your Module One motorcycle test, you must be protected.

Think about your own safety regarding protection.

You should take into account the weather conditions on the day and wear appropriate clothing.

Cold, wet or hot conditions will have a bearing on what you choose to wear on the day.

WEAR APPROPRIATE CLOTHING

Proper motorcycle clothing is the best clothing to wear but there are alternatives that will be acceptable both during training and on the Module 1 test.

A suggestion is for you to think about boots, trousers and a motorcycle jacket.

These should be worn with a motorcycle helmet that meets British Safety Standards, plus quality motorcycle gloves and a high-visibility vest.

SUGGESTED CLOTHING TO WEAR

  • Motorcycle helmet
  • Motorcycle gloves
  • Motorcycle jacket
  • Motorcycle trousers
  • Motorcycle boots
  • High visibility vest

ALTERNATIVE ACCEPTABLE CLOTHING

  • Motorcycle helmet
  • Motorcycle gloves
  • Doc Martens or military style boots that give ankle protection
  • Heavy denim trousers with no holes/tears
  • Heavy denim jacket with no holes/tears
  • High visibility vest
